Launching a New Wellbeing Service: Key Considerations  for Success

When it comes to the wellbeing professionals I know, they are ALWAYS doing new training and professional development. Of course this is so exciting, but you need to make sure you’re maximising this from a marketing perspective. Whether it's a niche like pregnancy yoga, sound healing, or breathwork, there are some simple steps I’d always suggest you take. Drawing from personal experiences at my studio, let's explore the essential steps to take when launching a new service.

Create a Dedicated Service Page:

  • The foundation of any successful service launch is a well-crafted webpage. Each unique offering should have its own page to enhance visibility and searchability. Consider what potential clients might search for—whether it's yoga for beginners, sound baths, or corporate yoga. Optimise the page by including relevant keywords in the H1 title, such as "Pregnancy Yoga Classes in Hogsmead." This not only aids customers but also improves search engine rankings. Don't forget to submit the page to Google Search Console for indexing.

Allow Time for Anticipation:

  • Avoid the common mistake of making your webpage live only when classes are open for booking. Instead, give the page some time to build anticipation. This could include creating a waiting list for interested participants. Providing a sneak peek into what the service entails can generate excitement and curiosity.

Update Timetables and Booking System:

  • Ensure that your studio's timetable reflects the new class, complete with a compelling description of what customers can expect. Make the booking process seamless and straightforward. A user-friendly interface encourages potential clients to convert into actual participants.

Develop Content Assets:

  • Consider the need for additional content assets, especially if your new service involves collaborations with organisations. You can use Canva to create these. They have great A4 templates. A summary PDF outlining the unique aspects of your offering can be a valuable tool for marketing and communication. This document can be shared with potential partners or interested clients to provide more information about the service. It’s really nice to have a professional looking follow up when you engage interested companies.

Craft a Communication Plan:

  • A successful launch is as much about effective communication as it is about the service itself. Plan how you will announce the new service to your existing customer base and potential clients. Leverage social media, email newsletters, and in-studio promotions to create buzz. Consider hosting a launch event or offering a special promotion to entice early sign-ups. Building anticipation and excitement is crucial in ensuring a strong initial response. You can also add a new link to your instagram bio to sign post the new service. It’s not about just doing an Instagram post, think more strategically.

It might seem like a lot to do. But break it up and tackle them piece by piece, week by week, and I promise you’ll feel more in control and see a better result helping your new service to flourish! And of course I’m here if you need a bit of help, I never set you on a path I haven’t trodden myself!
